I treat every backyard like it already has an idea in it, my job is just helping pull it out. Some homeowners come in with a clear picture, others just know they want somewhere to unwind, and either way, I like to walk the space with them before anything gets drawn up.

When Thomas isn't designing backyards for other people, he's usually improving his constantly making updates to turn it into his own backyard paradise. You'll often find him in the pool with his dog, Miles, who loves to swim just as much as he does — living the outdoor lifestyle Arizona is known for.
