Shasta’s Best List: Pool Water Features That Add a Gorgeous Effect

Some prefer subtle changes to their poolscape, adding a couple of deck jets and maybe a scupper or two. But for those who are looking to make a big splash, then grander and more dramatic water features are certainly the way to go. Our company has been fortunate enough to build a number of custom water features. Today we are sharing three of the most remarkable water features that we have seen recently.

Triple Tiered Mediterranean Fountain

For those looking to create a striking statement, adding a fountain of any kind will instantly increase the visual appeal of your landscape. We particularly enjoy the laid-out triple tiered Mediterranean fountain. With a sapphire blue interior and travertine tiles that match the deck, this fountain blends in seamlessly with its surroundings as its waters stream into the pool.

Shimmering In-Pool Fountains

Incorporating lighting into any water feature instantly creates an impressive display. Today’s in-pool fountains are now being paired with LED lighting. The LED lights can change color according to an event you are celebrating, or some systems allow you to create your own light show. To treat your guests (and yourself!) to the most sensational and stunning show, consider opting for “geyser” fountains. These special fountains can blast gallons of water into the sky which then tumbles directly back into the pool.

Raging Waterfalls

Want to add some excitement to your poolscape? Consider incorporating a raging waterfall. This strong flow of water continually crashes into the pool, giving pool goers a sense of being out in the wild rather than in a tropical destination. Some bathers may even find this type of water feature therapeutic as they allow the cooling waters to spill over their head and massage their shoulders.
