Must-Have Pool Supplies For Your New Pool

Purchasing your new pool and having it installed in your backyard is only the first step in becoming the place to be in your own neighborhood. Once you have your pool properly installed, the maintenance begins almost immediately. Fortunately, when your new pool is a Shasta Pool, we provide you with all you need to get started, plus an orientation on how to use it all.

In order to keep your pool in the best possible shape and ensure that it lasts for years to come, you will want to invest in these must-have pool supplies:

Pool Chemicals

Most pools need to be treated with chemicals in order to keep the water clean and safe for swimming. The type and amount of chemicals that you need will vary based on the style of pool that you purchase for your yard. In general, the pool chemicals you will need include chlorine, shock, pH increaser, and pH decreaser.

Water Testing Supplies

You will need to test your pool water frequently to verify that the pool is safe to use. Luckily, it’s easier than ever to test the pool water. All you need to purchase is a water test kit that will tell you if your chemicals are balanced or if you need to add any additional chemicals to the water.

Net Leaf Skimmer

Insects, leaves and other bits of debris also will blow into your pool and float on the surface. A net leaf skimmer is a simple yet essential tool that you need to keep your pool looking its best at all times.

Brush

Dirt and debris will inevitably make its way into your pool, especially after a dust storm. By using a pool brush you are able to brush dirt and debris to the main drain, especially if you don’t have an infloor cleaning system.

Pool Floats

A pool isn’t complete without some floating loungers. One of the best ways to enjoy your brand new pool is by taking a nice long float with a sunhat and your favorite beverage in hand. You’ll feel as if you’re on vacation right in your own backyard.

Of course, these are only a few of the basic pool supplies you will want to have to keep your pool clean and ready for use. At Shasta Pools, we provide each of our new pool owners with a ‘start-up kit’ complete with everything you need to maintain your pool like a pro.

The items provided in our start-up kit include:
