Our Recommendations for Your Crystal Clear Pools

Maintaining crystal clear pools doesn’t have to be hard work as long as a regular and routine maintenance schedule is kept. Here are our tips on how to keep crystal clear pools pristine and sparkling all year long:

Twice a Week:

  • Test your water with a professional water testing kit.
  • Ensure pH levels are between 7.2 and 7.6
  • Ensure chlorine levels are between 1 and 3ppm
  • Dump skimmer baskets and remove other debris from your pool’s surface.
  • Scrub the tile at your pool’s water line

TIP: During the summer when your pool’s in high use, be sure to test the water three times per week.

Once a Week:

  • Vacuum pool
  • Backwash your filter if your water begins to look a bit cloudy
  • Check your pool for any cracks or signs of damage. If you find any don’t hesitate to contact us for a repair.

Once a Month:

  • Scoop some of your pool water and take it to a pool retailer for an in depth water analysis. They will be able to test for alkalinity (TA), calcium hardness, and stabilizer
  • Check your water levels and adjust if necessary

TIP: If you have a salt water chlorination system, you may need to check the blades and clean them. This will help prevent the calcification of the blades.

Mid-Season Maintenance for Crystal Clear Pools:

  • Every few weeks, give your filter a clean with a professional filter cleaner. This will remove any grease or oils that have likely accumulated.
