3 Eco-Friendly Products for Your Arizona Pool

Having a pool is a wonderful way to enjoy the great outdoors and all that Mother Nature has to offer. Bright sunshine, blue skies, birds, butterflies—there’s just nothing better than a beautiful day in the pool.

What makes us so sentimental? Well, Earth Day is on April 22, and Shasta Pools is proud to do our part to protect our planet by using highly efficient and eco-friendly products in every pool we build, remodel and service in Arizona. We wanted to share a few of our favorite products and how they help keep your pool – and our planet – work at their best.

BioShield® UV Disinfection Sanitizers

These sanitizers use the power of ultraviolet light to virtually eliminate all unhealthy microorganisms in your pool, with a host of other fantastic benefits:

  • Reduces chlorine usage by up to HALF. Less chlorine means the potential of less chloramines!
  • Energy-efficient, high-output UV lamps provide up to 12,000 hours of continuous operation
  • Uses minimal energy, about the same as a 60-W light bulb

QuikPure3 Ozone Oxidation System

QuickPure3 works to purify your water by removing contaminants that can cause unpleasant odors and skin irritation. Using ozone, the product reduces the amount of chemicals needed to keep your pool clean—good for you and good for the environment. This product also helps:

  • Drastically reduce the amount of chlorine and other chemicals needed to keep your pool fresh and healthy
  • Decreases scale and tile-line build-up

System:3® Modular Media Filters —SM Series

Another awesome product from the makers of the BioShield, this cartridge filtration system allows for the quick change of filter medias, reduced frequency of cleaning and no weekly pool back washing necessary. This means there’s no wasting water and, for our 600-size filter, the filter medias come coated with Microban which kills any organic material that may want to grow on your filters. Why we love it:

  • Innovative balanced flow design is the standard of the industry
  • 2” plumbing ports improve hydraulic flow, which allows the pump to work more efficiently
  • Made from an extremely durable high-density composite resin designed to weather the elements and will never corrode

So now that you know what’s running behind the scenes, we hope you enjoy Earth Day by kicking back and enjoying your pool even more knowing that Shasta is looking out for you and our environment.
